About Bob...

I have lived in North Carolina my entire life.  I was born in Charlotte and moved to the then small town of Matthews with my parents at the age of four.  The oldest of three, I have a sister and a brother.  My sister Ashley is a 1-year-old preschool teacher and my brother Brandon is in his freshman year of college.

While growing up I always enjoyed drawing and coloring.  In school Art was my favorite subject; however, it was not until high school that Art became something more for me.  My high school Art teacher, Sue Hunady, introduced me to acrylic painting and just how much fun creating my own artwork could be.  She told me from the beginning that I would become an Art teacher one day and as it turned out, she was right.

I attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and graduated with a BA in Studio Art.  I also received Minor degrees in Classical Studies and Psychology.  It was at UNCW where I met the love of my life, Jen.  The two of us became best friends and began dating after a few years.  We were married September 9, 2006 on the beach at Ocean Isle Beach, NC.

I taught Art on the middle and elementary school levels for three years and spent the past year working towards my Master of Arts in Teaching at UNC-Charlotte while substitute teaching and working at an after school program.  God had other plans for me, however, and in August I began working at an internet marketing and consulting firm based out of Ballantyne.  I am now the Marketing Coordinator at ebasedEVOLUTION and love this new career I have been brought to.  Jen has been a Kindergarten Teacher Assistant at Matthews Elementary School for the past five years and is currently working on receiving her Master of Arts in Teaching at UNCC.

Jen and I live in Matthews with our 2-year-old son, Robert.  Completing our family are three adorable dogs, Wendy, Louie and Lady.  We are big Disney fans and enjoy vacationing through the Disney Vacation Club.  We are also very involved in our church, Elevation, and volunteer every weekend in the 3 to 5-year-old room.  Jen is a Volunteer Leader and I am the Volunteer Director of our room.  We are truly blessed!
